How does an evaporative cooler work?

It pulls warm air through water soaked cooling media, so the air that comes out is cooler than the air around it, without the cost of air conditioning. That makes it a fit for warehouses, shops, loading docks and covered outdoor work areas.

Which size should I choose?

Match the model to the space. The Portacool Jetstream 220 is compact for spot cooling a personal workspace, the Jetstream 250 suits small spaces, and the Jetstream 270 is the most powerful in that series. The Big Ass Fans Cool-Space line runs from the 200 up to the 500, its largest, for maximum coverage. A Jetstream Hazardous 260 model is also available.

What kinds of cooling fans are there?

Three kinds. Directional fans push a lot of air across a work area without water. Evaporative coolers pull warm air through water soaked media, so the air comes out cooler. Misting fans spray a fine mist that cools as it evaporates, like the ExtremeMist 3 in 1, which runs on solar, a rechargeable battery or an AC charger with no faucet or outlet needed. ExtremeMist says misting works best in hot, dry conditions.

What is in Coolers, Cups and Gear?

The equipment side of a hydration program: water coolers, cooler stands and truck brackets, cups and cup holders, squeeze bottles, liquid concentrate dispenser racks and pumps, chest freezers for freeze pops, industrial cooling fans, heat stress and cooling gear, and job site basics like safety vests and hard hats.

What does a job site hydration station need?

A cooler sized to the crew, cups or squeeze bottles, and a way to mix the drink: powder, liquid concentrate with a dispenser pump, or single serve sticks. A cup holder keeps cups organized at the cooler, and a stand or truck bracket keeps the cooler off the ground and within reach.
